Senior Treasury Manager

As Treasury Manager, you will be instrumental in building and managing a treasury function across our European organisation. Fastned has operations in 11 countries in a fast-growing and capital intensive industry which gives this role specific focus and importance. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of all treasury matters while contributing directly to Fastned’s growth. You will serve as the primary point of contact for both strategic and operational treasury topics, guiding the company on treasury structures, business initiatives, cash efficiency, and treasury risk management.

We expect you to

• On the strategic side;

  • Develop and implement treasury policies, procedures, and controls across key areas including optimising cash management, bank finance, interest rate & FX hedging, FX trading, subsidiary capitalisation, and (bank) guarantees.

  • Address systems and tools requirements fit for scaling the organisation.

  • Provide ongoing education to relevant teams across the organisation.

• On the operational side;

  • Develop and professionalise all treasury processes including cash management, cash pooling, intercompany flows, bank finance, and subsidiary capitalisation.

  • Oversee and execute all bank guarantee requests and manage guarantee risk.

  • Manage external banks, auditors, and advisors on treasury topics.

  • Support finance and business teams with ad-hoc treasury questions.

  • Ensure funds are available where needed and optimise intercompany structures.

• University degree in Finance or related field.

• 7–15 years of relevant treasury experience with knowledge across all treasury function areas.

• Proven experience setting up or being part of establishing a treasury function—scale-up experience is a significant plus.

• A hands-on initiator with ownership mentality and ability to work independently.

• Strong eye for detail, critical thinking, and pragmatic approach to balancing strategic advice with operational execution.

• Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch and other languages are a plus).

• Genuine interest in the energy transition and Fastned's mission.

• Independent self-starter.
