A day in the life of a Senior Credit Risk AnalystIt’s Wednesday, and we meet in the Amsterdam office today. You start the morning catching up with colleagues and reviewing progress on one of the ECB Readiness work streams you are leading. The discussion moves quickly from regulatory requirements to data dependencies and the actions required to move the workstream forward.
Later in the morning, you dive into portfolio and model data for Dutch mortgages. You investigate an issue, assess its potential credit risk impact and work with colleagues to determine the right solution.
After lunch, you join a One Credit discussion. Your role is to provide the credit risk perspective, challenge proposed solutions and help translate regulatory requirements into a workable future framework.
You finish the day preparing a concise update for senior stakeholders, clearly setting out progress, key risks, dependencies and decisions required. Tomorrow may look completely different, which is exactly what makes the role interesting.
