Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium Amsterdam is looking for a Spa Therapist to join our Akasha Spa team.

• Providing wellness and beauty treatments to the highest level of quality by following our service standards;
• Conduct treatment consultations with high levels of emotional intelligence and be able to quickly adapt to the guests needs/requirements;
• Maintaining the cleanliness of treatment rooms in downtime;
• Provide advice on wellness products to ensure retail sales;
• Adherence to health and safety standards at all times.

As a Spa Therapist
, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 38 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary from morning and afternoon shifts (including weekends and holidays), so flexibility is required for this position.

The name Akasha reflects a core vision to harmoniously unite the four basic elements of nature: earth, water, fire and air. This combination enables a transformational and balancing experience where body, mind and soul are fully aligned. Akasha is located in a 1000m2 area in the hotel, with 7 treatment rooms, a swimming pool, Watsu tub and private Hammam. This serene environment is ideal for guests to relax and recharge.

Akasha is open daily from 6:30AM until 10:00PM.

The team in Akasha consists of therapists, attendants, trainers and receptionists. Akasha has been awarded five times Best Hotel Spa of the Netherlands. Within this role it is your goal to receive this award for the years to come!

• Academic background in hospitality, health, wellness or sports;
• A minimum of two years’ experience as a therapist in a Spa, preferably in a luxury setting;
• Excellent proficiency in the English language (Dutch is a plus);
• A strong sense of responsibility: always follows up, is accurate and knows how to deliver exceptional and personalised service.

• A salary in scale VI of the Dutch Horeca CAO;
