Within the research group Personalized Oncology, we conduct multiple (inter) national studies aimed at improving oncological care for Adolescents and Young Adults (AYAs) with cancer and patients with rare tumors. To support several European and Dutch research projects, we are seeking a Research Assistant who will contribute to high-quality data collection, coordination, and study management in close collaboration with healthcare professionals, researchers, and patient organizations.
Our research group focuses on:
- Mapping the prevalence, risk factors, and mechanisms of physical and psychosocial problems among AYA patients, both with a good and poor prognosis.
- Assessing the quality of life of individuals living with a rare tumor or underserved cancer populations (diversity, equity and inclusivity).
- Applying innovative techniques (e.g. federated learning) to bring different types of data together.
- Establishing guidelines for optimal patient involvement in research.
- Collecting qualitative (interviews) and quantitative (questionnaires, anamnesis) data.
- Contacting patients (mainly by phone) to explain the research.
- Maintaining communication with patients, medical specialists, nurse specialists, and researchers within the project.
- Managing research data.
- Creating and maintaining a (digital) archive of study documents in the Investigator Site File (ISF) and Trial Master File (TMF), in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collecting and verifying study-related documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Support researchers in getting access to (registry) data for secondary usage.
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of research dossiers and amendments to the Review Committee (e.g., METC) and Competent Authority.
- Providing general administrative support to the research team in conducting studies.
- Supporting the organization of research meetings.
To a lesser extent:
- Create and manage content, as well as channel administration, for social media and websites for research projects.
- Create dissemination media such as brochures, video, presentation templates.
- Monitor engagement and analytics tracking and reporting communication and dissemination activities according to best practices and EU requirements.
- Support some project management activities such as meeting minute taking and meeting scheduling as needed.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized professional, who combines excellent communication skills with a creative and proactive mindset. The ideal candidate is empathetic, detail-oriented, and confident, with the ability to work independently while maintaining a clear overview of multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. You also have:
- Completed hbo or university degree.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both English and Dutch.
- Creative thinker with the ability to translate ideas into effective solutions.
- Preferably experience in organizational roles within a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong multitasking abilities and perseverance.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with a practical, hands-on approach.
- Knowledge of clinical studies and associated ICH-GCP (Good Clinical Practice) guidelines is an advantage.
- Familiarity with communication tools and social media platforms such as Instagram, X, Linked In, Canva, and Word Press or the willingness to learn more about this.
The basis for your employment conditions is in accordance with the CLA Hospitals. You will receive from us:
- A year's contract for 36 hours per week, with the prospect of a permanent contract;
- A gross monthly salary between € 3.164,- and € 4.261,-, based on a 36-hour working week, in line with FWG 45 and depending on your experience;
