Currently, we operate (and have offices) in 10 countries across Europe, and our Office IT team of four provides IT support with care to 400+ employees. As our Office‑IT Engineer based in our HQ in Amsterdam, you will be the go‑to person for all local and remote IT‑related matters. You make sure day‑to‑day IT just works: laptops are ready, tools are accessible, and systems run smoothly so people can focus on building the future of fast charging and perform their work.
You see our colleagues as your customers and you care deeply about their experience — you listen, ask the right questions, and follow up.
- Ensuring the smooth operation of all office IT infrastructure, including laptops, phones, software, meeting rooms, and network equipment keeping all devices and software up to date with the latest security patches and updates.
- Providing timely and effective technical support to colleagues, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, actively following up on tickets and making sure users are genuinely satisfied.
- Managing the lifecycle of end‑user devices, including procurement, configuration, deployment and retirement.
- Owning the IT part of employee onboarding and offboarding, including account creation/deletion and device provisioning/deprovisioning, so every joiner and leaver has a smooth experience.
- Contributing to team projects that scale and improve IT support, for example by creating documentation (handbooks, knowledge base) and implementing new tools and processes.
- Helping to build strong relationships with IT vendors and providers. Focusing primarily on configuring and onboarding users to SaaS applications, as Fastned operates with limited on‑premise servers, and developing your skills in modern cloud environments.
- Occasionally travelling to other European offices to support onboarding and provide on‑site assistance when needed.
To be successful in this role, you are proactive and have a proven background in end‑user support and device management. You should be comfortable owning IT processes from troubleshooting and documentation to onboarding, offboarding, and IT related projects. You combine strong technical skills with genuine customer care that leaves people feeling looked after, not just “fixed”.
Additionally, you tick the following boxes:- At least 4 years of experience in an Office IT support role, working in a cloud environment and/or with SaaS applications.
- Experience with device management (laptops, phones) and common troubleshooting scenarios.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM);
Okta experience is a big plus. - Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions:
Microsoft Intune is a strong preference; - Proficiency in either Google Workspace or Microsoft Active Directory.
- You’re comfortable reaching out to colleagues after ticket resolution to make sure they’re really satisfied and everything still works.
- Ability to explain technical topics clearly and simply in procedures, documentation and day‑to‑day support messages.
- Comfortable being in direct contact with people from different offices and seniority levels (including country and office managers) and providing hands‑on support.
- Excellent English skills (both written and verbal).
