Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of data products, working with cross‑functional teams including data engineering, QA, technology, and business strategy.
- Translate business needs into data requirements with a strong focus on data workflows, scalability, and performance.
- Own the data product backlog, prioritizing features, technical tasks, and improvements based on business value, effort, and dependencies.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure accurate understanding of data structure, source systems, and integration logic.
- Actively manage sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives in an agile development environment.
- Ensure that data quality, documentation, lineage, and governance standards are upheld.
- Identify opportunities to automate data workflows and reduce failure points across the data lifecycle.
- Communicate product status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Hands‑on experience with SQL, comfortable querying and analyzing large datasets across relational and No
SQL databases. - Strong track record of working with data engineers and navigating complex data infrastructure to deliver scalable, high‑quality solutions.
- Experience in agile methodologies and capable of leading sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
- Effective communicator who bridges technical and non‑technical stakeholders, fostering alignment across product, engineering, QA, and business teams.
- Results‑oriented; uses metrics and client feedback to prioritize work, evaluate impact, and drive continuous improvement.
- Experience in the finance industry and understanding of data quality, timeliness, and regulatory alignment.
- Proactive team member who promotes automation, scalability, and operational efficiency throughout the data product lifecycle.
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency; willing to develop awareness of responsible AI practices.
