To strengthen our IT, Data & Operations team, we are looking for an IT Business Analyst.
About the roleThe IT, Data & Operations department drives the digitalization of our organization. At the heart of this digital transformation is the Business Analyst—a key role that brings together business needs, processes, data, and IT solutions. We are currently recruiting for this position.
As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in Invest‑NL’s digital transformation by translating business requirements into feasible IT solutions. In this role, you will work on organisation‑wide initiatives that impact processes, data, reporting, and applications. One example is the Octopus program, through which Invest‑NL continues to enhance its information management and process support capabilities.
Our IT, Data & Operations department consists of driven and dedicated professionals, and in this role you will report directly to the Director of IT, Data & Operations.
What you will doGathering and analysing business and information requirements across various domains within Invest‑NL;
Mapping business processes, data flows, and data models to support application, data, and reporting development;
Translating business requirements into feasible IT solutions while ensuring alignment and consistency across processes, data, and systems;
Creating and managing epics, features, and user stories, including acceptance criteria and dependencies;
Collaborating closely with business stakeholders and development teams.
You are an analytical and collaborative professional who can translate complex challenges into clear business requirements. You thrive on structuring information, creating clarity and coherence in complex environments, and improving processes through IT, Data, and/or AI.
You are able to translate abstract business needs into concrete requirements and well‑supported solutions. You move comfortably between business teams, IT departments, and external stakeholders, and you know how to manage expectations in a constructive and effective manner.
You are self‑driven, proactive, and organisationally aware. You take ownership, bring structure to your work, and maintain a strong focus on both the quality of deliverables and stakeholder engagement.
You haveBachelor's or Master's degree level (HBO/WO), preferably in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Systems, or a related field;
At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Information Analyst within complex organisations or transformation programmes;
Proven experience in business analysis, information analysis, and translating business processes into functional and information requirements;
Knowledge of and experience with requirements management, process modelling, and data modelling. Experience working in Agile environments, including the creation of epics, features, and user stories;
Ability to structure and communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner;
Experience facilitating workshops and driving decision‑making processes with diverse stakeholder groups;
Excellent command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken.

Salary: Between €5,000 and €6,900 per month based on a 36‑hour work week, with the option to work 40 hours. Placement depends on knowledge and experience;
Flexible compensation: A Benefit Budget worth 20.95% of your monthly salary. This consists of 8% holiday allowance, 8.33% year‑end bonus, and a personal budget of 4.615% representing additional (above statutory) leave (86.4 hours per year based on a 36‑hour work week);
