DCS Technician

Overview

Join Smith and Embark on an Exciting Journey into the World of Technology. This hands‑on role will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in handling a wide range of IT hardware, from assembling and repairing individual components to configuring and upgrading complex systems.

• Order Processing:
  Efficiently process purchase and sales orders to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Hardware Maintenance:
  Disassemble, inspect, test, and repair electronic hardware, including servers, workstations, network equipment, and computers. Securely erase previous customer data from storage devices.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Assemble and configure IT hardware systems based on customer specifications.
• Process Improvement:
  Contribute to process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Reporting:
  Prepare and submit timely reports on order status, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics.
• Compliance:
  Adhere to strict quality, safety, environmental, and data security standards such as ESD.
• Ad‑hoc support:
  Collaborate interdepartmentally to achieve operational goals.

• Experience with hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Knowledge of computer hardware components, peripherals, and server equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail‑oriented and organized with a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

• Basic knowledge of IT hardware components and terminology.
• At least 1 year of experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting and repairing IT hardware (specifically Dell, HP, and/or Cisco).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) or strong interest in learning more Excel skills.
• Familiarity with database software (Microsoft Access) is a plus.

Ability to lift up to 20 kg repetitively. Shipment boxes can weigh more than 20 kg.
