Platform engineer for high-frequency trading

The company is a growing high-frequency trading firm building a shared data platform based on event streaming, change-data-capture, and data contracts.

• Set a shared data standard across engineering teams
• Design the data platform architecture
• Build real data ingestions
• Move the organization from tightly coupled data flows to a shared platform
• Help engineering teams understand the value of the change
• Listen to concerns and bring developers along through the transition
• Build the platform standard from scratch with ownership of key decisions

• Coach teams through change and handle disagreement constructively
• Have production experience with event-streaming platforms such as Kafka or Redpanda
• Understand streaming, ETL, and data-warehousing patterns
• Work comfortably with change-data-capture tooling such as Debezium
• Have experience in a data environment with millisecond latency or faster
• Have experience with infrastructure-as-code and Git Ops
• Nice to have:
  Terraform, ArgoCD, Kubernetes

• Significant bonus in addition to the salary
• Three days per week in the office
