Are you an experienced information manager who enjoys making an impact within a local authority organisation? Can you link strategic plans to day-to-day practice, and do you know how to motivate professionals? If so, this is an assignment that certainly deserves your attention.
IMPROVED is seeking an independent and capable Information Manager for a medium-sized local authority in the northern Netherlands, who will steer the further development of information provision and digitalisation.
What will you do?
Updating the information plan and monitoring progress
To clarify which KPIs have and have not been achieved
Coordinating and overseeing IT-related tendering processes
To provide an overview of the current application landscape and advise on optimisation, coherence and future decisions
Linking the business, information provision and IT
But this task requires more than just subject-matter expertise.
We are looking for an information manager who will make a real difference within the team. Someone who will challenge the IT team intellectually, keep them on their toes and help them to grow. A professional who not only focuses on results and processes, but also cares about the people behind the technology.
Who are we looking for?
Experience as an Information Manager, Information Services Manager or IS Manager
Experience with in a local authority or other public organisation
Knowledge of IT procurement and supplier management
Understanding application portfolios and information management issues
A reliable partner for management, suppliers and IT professionals
Leadership that focuses on both substance and people
Why this assignment?
You will hold a prominent position within the organisation and have a direct influence on the council's digital strategy. You will operate at strategic, tactical and operational levels and help to further professionalise both the organisation and the team.
