About the role:
As our Supply Chain Market Planner you will drive the strategy and execution for market supply management, optimising supply chain performance, stakeholder partnerships, and value creation. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you’ll own risk mitigation and process improvement for the Market portfolio. You will collaborate cross‑functionally and manage a range of significant external partners to deliver availability, cost‑efficiency, and seamless customer support.
- Develop and deliver market strategies, aligning with business targets for cost, quality, availability, and customer experience.
- Oversee supply management and supply performance.
- Analyse category spend, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor and optimise stock levels for multiple sites, channels and markets, and resolve supply challenges while minimising excess and obsolete inventory.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of supply chain transactions within the SAP/S4 system and EDI integrations.
- Lead risk management efforts within the market, developing contingency plans to protect supply continuity and support business resilience.
- Track KPIs for market inventory performance; report actionable insights to senior stakeholders and shape future strategy.
- Collaborate across teams (Service, Sales, R&D) to support new product launches, changes to the product range, and integration of new suppliers.
- Drive process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent approaches to enhance category efficiency.
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience in supply chain, category management, components or similar products.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills; confident using Excel (pivot tables, analytics) and supply chain systems (SAP/S4, EDI).
- Deep understanding of supply chain principles, procurement, demand planning and external stakeholder management, ideally in a global context.
- Proven ability to deliver process improvements, cost savings and category growth.
- Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with continuous improvement practices.
- Self‑motivation, adaptability and a proactive approach to solving problems and driving performance.
