Position: 26036 Global Supply Chain Director | High-Tech Electronics Manufacturer

The Organization

For an international high-tech electronics manufacturer with operations across Europe and Asia, we are searching for a Global Supply Chain Director.

As the business becomes increasingly international and integrated, the organisation is further developing its global supply-chain model, with a particular focus on planning, S&OP, capacity management, inventory and cross-site coordination.

The Role

The Global Supply Chain Director will take overall responsibility for the quality and execution of supply-chain planning across the group. Reporting directly to the Executive Board, you will define and implement a consistent global approach to demand planning, S&OP, production and capacity planning, supplier forecasting, inventory management and operational procurement.

A key priority will be bringing demand and supply together across multiple manufacturing locations, balancing customer requirements with available capacity, component availability, inventory, working capital and cost. You will also lead the further development of S&OP and master production scheduling and drive stronger coordination between the operating companies.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on implementation and requires close cooperation with local supply-chain teams across the international organisation.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience

  • Senior supply-chain leadership experience within an international, multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in complex high-tech manufacturing.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing S&OP, demand planning and production planning across multiple sites.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory, planning parameters, supplier lead times and capacity management.
  • Experience managing inventory and working capital while maintaining customer delivery performance.
  • Proven ability to lead through a matrix organisation and create alignment across multiple operating companies.
  • Experience with ERP systems, planning tools and data-driven supply-chain management.

Skills

  • Strategic yet highly pragmatic supply-chain leader.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across both executive and operational levels.
  • Able to challenge forecasts and assumptions and make decisions in complex or changing environments.
  • Entrepreneurial and improvement-oriented, with the ability to build structures in an evolving organisation.
  • Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of the relationship between planning, customer delivery, cost and working capital.
  • Fluent English required; additional European languages are advantageous.
