Stock Controller

The Stock Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate, efficient and cost-effective stock control across the property. The role ensures that inventory is correctly received, recorded, stored, monitored and replenished in line with company standards, while supporting consistent product availability and effective cost management.

• Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, stores, procurement or a related hospitality environment.
• Experience with stock-taking, stock reconciliation and inventory administration.
• Good computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with stock management systems will be advantageous.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required by the operational needs of the property.
• A valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ensure all company policies, procedures and SOPs relating to stock control and inventory management are consistently adhered to.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and stock management systems in accordance with established standards.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure inventory is maintained within approved minimum, maximum and re-order parameters.
• Conduct regular stock counts, reconciliations and investigations of variances, escalating discrepancies where required.
• Monitor stock movements, including receipts, issues, transfers, returns and adjustments, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Support the development and implementation of inventory control practices that contribute to lower cost of sales, shorter lead times and optimised stockholding.
• Ensure stock is correctly labelled, organised, stored and presented in accordance with required standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers and relevant departments to ensure products received meet required quality and quantity standards.
• Assist with forecasting supply and demand to support continuity of supply and minimise stock-outs, overstocking and wastage.
• Monitor stock expiry dates, shelf life and product rotation, taking appropriate action to minimise losses and wastage.
• Prepare and maintain accurate stock reports and provide relevant information to management to support operational and purchasing decisions.
• Carry out day-to-day stock management activities in line with established policies, procedures and controls.
• Work closely with relevant departments to ensure efficient stock availability and responsible stock usage.
• Perform any other reasonable duties that may be required in support of the operational requirements of the property
