What do you do as a Process Operator at Vollers Holland B.V.?

The Process Operator supports the Senior Operator and the Terminal Manager. The Process Operator has knowledge of the systems and installations and can locate malfunctions. The Process Operator is primarily engaged in supervising loading activities. The Process Operator can take over tasks from the Senior Operator in his/her absence.

For which company will you be working?

Vollers B.V. is a medium-sized logistics organization that provides storage and handling of cocoa beans, coffee and general cargo in the ports of Amsterdam and Zaandam. At the location in Zaandam (Westzaan) the position of Process Operator has arisen. At this modern location for the storage of cocoa, a small team of 4 employees works. The organization itself has about 40 employees and is one of eight international companies belonging to the Vollers Group (parent company is in Germany).

What work appeals to you?

• Performing operating and control work in the control room, on the installations and remotely.
• Performing first-line maintenance work in relation to the defined objectives, including during consignments.
• Performing safe commissioning and de-commissioning of maintenance activities.
• Informing the Terminal Manager of all circumstances deviating from regular operations (failure 2nd line and calamities).
• Informing the Terminal Manager of expected special circumstances and - as far as relevant - taking action or proposing action to ensure regular operations.
• Taking care (partly) of a correct and complete transfer to colleagues of the work in progress.
• Being flexible and willing to work overtime.

What do you recognize yourself in?

• MBO working and thinking level.
• Preferably NEN 3140 (VOP, Switching Competence).
• Experience is preferred, but you will also be trained on the job.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English in speech and writing;
  German is an advantage.
• A customer and quality-oriented attitude.
• Sense of responsibility and accuracy are important in this position.
• A team player to organize the work together.
