External Communications & Public Relations Manager

This role supports the Director of External Communications and Public Relations and delivers global external communications for two large segments. In this highly visible role you will work closely with senior business leaders and become a trusted advisor in shaping how the company is perceived by customers, media, industry stakeholders, and communities worldwide.

• Build strong relationships with European trade media and media in the Americas and MEA based on business needs.
• Develop media outreach strategies for Resource Solutions and Performance Materials segments across Europe, Americas, and MEA.
• Proactively pitch stories and secure coverage that reinforces the company’s leadership in specialty chemicals and innovation.
• Monitor media trends and provide counsel to protect and enhance corporate reputation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 5‑10 years of experience in external communications, PR, or corporate affairs, ideally in B2B or industrial sectors.
• Proven track record in media relations and strategic communications planning.
• Strong understanding of European media landscape.
• Excellent writing (AP style) and storytelling skills.

• Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution capability.
• Skilled at navigating complex, matrixed organizations.
• Comfortable engaging with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
• Data‑driven approach to communications performance.

• Employment contract for an indefinite term period.
• Competitive gross annual salary: €116,000 – €135,000.
