Build with us Businesses deserve better from finance. Less friction, more freedom. Since 2004, Mollie has been on a mission to make payments and money management effortless for every business in Europe. Today, more than 250,000 companies trust our all-in-one platform to get paid, manage money and grow on their terms. Simple, scalable and built with real businesses in mind. We're one of Europe's fastest-growing fintechs, with 50+ nationalities across 12+ locations.

Our people make this growth possible. We move fast, build with purpose and care deeply about our customers. Whether you're solving problems, building market‑leading products or exploring how AI can make work smarter, you'll have the freedom to create and the trust to deliver. If you're ready to grow, shape the future of fintech and join an ambitious, high‑performing team, this is the place for you.

Your impact

We're looking for a SEO/GEO working student to join Mollie's SEO team on a working student basis. You'll work closely with Misael, our SEO Manager, and get hands‑on exposure to both classic search engine optimisation (SEO) and the fast‑moving world of generative engine‑optimisation (GEO) — learning the ins and outs of how brands like Mollie show up in answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and beyond.

You'll own real tasks, see your work go live on , and build a genuine, practical skill set in one of the most in‑demand areas of marketing right now. If you're curious about SEO, eager to learn GEO/AEO, and ready to see your work shape how Mollie shows up in both search engines and AI answer engines, this is your mission.

What

you'll ship
  • Content management:
Update and maintain content in our Framer CMS, including publishing new pages and keeping localised content accurate and consistent across our European markets.
  • Keyword research:
Conduct keyword research to uncover content and optimisation opportunities across both traditional search engines and AI‑driven answer engines.
  • Technical SEO:
Run technical SEO audits (covering areas like crawlability, indexation, site speed, and structured data) and help execute the fixes and optimisations that follow.
  • General support:
Support the wider SEO/GEO team with ad hoc analysis, reporting, and administrative tasks that keep projects moving.
What you'll bring
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme (Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field), with the flexibility to combine your studies with a few days a week at our Amsterdam office.
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken.
  • Strong administrative skills — you're organised, reliable, and comfortable juggling several small tasks and content updates at once without losing track of details.
  • A genuine interest in SEO, GEO/AEO, and how AI is changing the way people search for and find information online. No prior professional experience required — we'll teach you the rest.
  • Comfortable working in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and confident picking up new tools and platforms quickly.
  • Dutch, French, German or Italian is a plus (useful for reviewing localised content) but not required.
  • Framer editing experience is a plus but not required.
Practical details

You'll be based hybrid out of our Keizersgracht office in Amsterdam, reporting to Misael, our SEO Manager.

Hours:

24-40 hours per week, flexible around your study schedule.

Duration:
Minimum 6 months, with the possibility to extend.

Start date:

As soon as possible — flexible, let's discuss what works for you.

On top of hands‑on SEO/GEO training and mentorship, you'll also get:
  • Lunch provided in the office on the days you're on‑site.
  • A competitive working student allowance.
  • Travel expense reimbursement for your commute on office days.
  • A seat at the table on a small, ambitious team — plus the usual team socials, drinks, and a genuinely nice canal‑side office to work from.
Grow your way

At Mollie, growth is personal. We believe everyone should have the chance to develop their skills, explore new challenges and shape their career on their own terms. You'll get regular feedback and performance reviews to support your development with fair and transparent…
