About the role

This role will own the end‑to‑end media agenda across paid and owned channels, ensuring best‑in‑class and efficient media planning, investment, and performance to drive both brand and commercial KPIs. As the media lead for the region/cluster – you will oversee the full media lifecycle – from annual planning & campaign strategy to optimization, innovation, measurement and performance reporting, working closely with commercial teams, regional/global counterparts and agency partners.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing for Benelux and Nordics, this position leads a team of media managers/specialists – together championing media excellence to ensure we continue to deliver highly effective, efficient and measurable media plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and delivery of media strategies with our marketing teams and agency partners – based in 2 regions for Benelux and Nordics
  • Own and manage annual, quarterly, and campaign planning cycles, ensuring all milestones, deliverables, and governance requirements are met on time.
  • Serve as the primary operational and strategic lead for media agency partners, driving collaboration, accountability, and executional excellence.
  • Develop and oversee cross‑channel audience and media plans for NPDs / product launches and key campaigns, ensuring a connected consumer journey.
  • Drive audience planning by translating consumer, owner, and first‑party data insights into actionable media strategies and agency planning frameworks.
  • Optimize media investment and channel mix through data‑driven planning, performance analysis, forecasting, and ongoing optimization.
  • Partner with Category, Digital Marketing, Business Intelligence, Commercial teams, and regional/global teams to deliver integrated plans and identify opportunities for greater effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Champion a test‑and‑learn culture by identifying new opportunities, leveraging experimentation frameworks, attribution models, and advanced measurement approaches.
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate campaign performance, providing actionable recommendations to improve media effectiveness and ROI.
  • Provide regular thought leadership on media innovation, emerging technologies, platform developments, and measurement trends, ensuring teams remain at the forefront of industry best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media agencies, commercial stakeholders, and local market teams to ensure best‑in‑class campaign execution and consistent KPI tracking.
  • Drive effective budget and BBI management, ensuring investment accuracy, compliance, and optimal allocation of resources.
  • Establish robust reporting, governance, and performance management processes to support transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support capability building across marketing and media teams through knowledge sharing, best practices, and strategic guidance.
  • Play a key role in driving retail media strategy and choices in collaboration with KAMs and retail account leads
About you

To succeed in the role, we expect you to have:

  • At least 7+ years’ experience in media planning – agency or in‑house – with leadership of having led multi‑channel teams
  • Deep knowledge of planning and buying across the spectrum: TV, Print, OOH, Programmatic Display & Video, Social, and Search.
  • The ability to interrogate local market plans – making sure they deliver both brand lift and demand.
