Job Description & How to Apply Below
About the role
As SkyNRG continues to scale and develop its first SEVESO-classified major hazard installation, safety becomes even more central to how we operate and grow. In this context, we are looking for an Occupational Health & Safety Lead who will build, shape, and embed our corporate OH&S approach across projects and operations.
This is not a role where you step into an existing structure. Instead, you will define it. You will take ownership of developing SkyNRG’s Occupational Health & Safety framework, ensuring it is robust, future-proof, and consistently applied across our capital projects and production sites.
You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution: translating legislation and best practices into clear standards, while working closely with engineering, project, and site teams to ensure these are effectively implemented. By doing so, you will play a key role in preventing risks from scaling alongside the business, and in strengthening our compliance with ARIE / SEVESO and other relevant regulations.
In your day-to-day work, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, from Site Directors to Project teams, acting as a trusted advisor and driving a strong, proactive safety culture.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Developing and continuously improving SkyNRG’s Occupational Health & Safety Management System
Defining and implementing corporate OH&S standards for operations and capital projects
Translating evolving laws and regulations into practical policies, procedures, and guidance
Designing and implementing training programs, audit protocols, and investigation methodologies
Supporting and guiding sites and projects in the execution of OH&S requirements
Leading or contributing to incident investigations, particularly for high-impact cases
Identifying emerging risks and driving data-driven mitigation strategies
Building and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization
This is a highly visible role with real impact: your work will directly shape how SkyNRG executes its projects and protects its people: today and in the future.
Your profile
As a growing company in a rapidly evolving industry, we are looking for people who embrace change and are motivated to actively contribute to building and scaling our business. You are someone who feels comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment, takes ownership, and thrives when things are still developing.
You recognize yourself in the following:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. HSE, Chemical, Oil & Gas or similar)
Strong knowledge of HSE management systems and Occupational Health & Safety regulations
Experience working in major hazard environments (e.g. SEVESO / ARIE)
Ability to translate regulatory frameworks into practical, scalable standards
A structured and systems-thinking mindset, with a hands-on approach to building from scratch
Nice to have:
MoSHE, HVK, or equivalent certification
You combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills. You are able to influence stakeholders across different levels of the organization, communicate clearly, and make well-founded decisions based on risk and data. At the same time, you are pragmatic and know how to get things done in a fast-evolving environment.
