Internship:
Developing continuous perovskite film deposition towards roll-to-roll
To bridge the gap between academia and industry, it is essential to implement fabrication methods for medium-sized substrates (tens of square centimetres). In photovoltaic research, it is important to demonstrate that material properties and device performance translate to sizes that are relevant for industrial applications. In this project, you will take ownership of a slot‑die coater in our lab, use it to deposit specialized layers for perovskite solar cells, characterize them, and investigate how deposition conditions and coating dynamics affect the crystallization regime of perovskites.
QualificationsYou are currently enrolled in a Master’s program in physics, chemistry, materials science, or a related field. You have a nationality of an EU member state and/or you are a student at a university in the Netherlands. The internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum. We expect you to be available for at least five months, although longer is preferable.
Workenvironment
AMOLF is a research institute located at Amsterdam Science Park, part of NWO‑I. The institute focuses on advanced physics and the development of functional materials.
Working conditionsAt the start of the traineeship, your trainee plan will be set out in consultation with your AMOLF supervisor. AMOLF Energy Research Academy offers a special program for research internships in sustainable energy science.
Diversity codeAMOLF is highly committed to an inclusive and diverse work environment. We recruit and select on the basis of competencies and talents, and we strongly encourage anyone with the right qualifications to apply, regardless of age, gender, origin, sexual orientation or physical ability.
