Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Communication Science at AI, Media & Democracy Lab, Netherlands for Fellowship
The University of Amsterdam is announcing a Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Communication Science at AI, Media & Democracy Lab. The role focuses on exploring how AI is transforming media, user interaction, and democratic engagement. The selected researcher will develop and publish studies, collaborate in interdisciplinary projects, and contribute to public debates on AI and media ethics.
Eligibility Criteria- Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities with a PhD in communication science, journalism, or a related social science field
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: Communication Science, Journalism, Social Science, or related disciplines
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria:
Hold a PhD in communication science, journalism, or related social sciences
Strong affinity with digital and computational science methods
Interest in lab-based, team research settings
Experience collaborating across disciplines
Excellent written and spoken English (e.g., publications in English-language journals)
Ability and willingness to work autonomously in a multidisciplinary team
Interest in organizing workshops, lectures, or similar events.
Competitive gross monthly salary: €4,728 – €6,633 (scale 11, 38 hrs/week), plus 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% year-end bonus
