Job Description & How to Apply Below
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior User Researcher to join a major global travel organisation, working on a high-profile programme focused on accessibility and inclusive travel experiences.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of research in an important and growing area, helping understand and improve how people with different disabilities experience the end-to-end travel journey.
You will be the key researcher supporting the accessibility function, working across both digital accessibility and inclusive services.
The work goes beyond simply meeting accessibility requirements. You'll help understand how disabled travellers experience digital products, travel information and services, and how the organisation can work with partners and third parties to create a more inclusive travel experience.
You’ll lead research from initial problem definition through to delivery of insights, working closely with product, design, accessibility and senior business stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading end-to-end qualitative and quantitative research programmes.
Researching the experiences of people with different disabilities and accessibility needs.
Designing and conducting interviews, focus groups, ethnographic studies and other qualitative research.
Designing surveys and conducting quantitative analysis.
Applying statistical techniques including regression and statistical testing.
Selecting appropriate research methodologies based on the problem being investigated.
Translating research findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
Presenting insights to senior and executive-level stakeholders.
Working closely with product, design and accessibility teams to influence decisions.
Managing research programmes and contributing to longer-term accessibility strategy.
Working with specialist external research partners and accessibility organisations.
Ensuring research is conducted in line with GDPR, data protection and ethical requirements.
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for a Senior User Researcher who can demonstrate strong capability across both qualitative and quantitative research. You should have:
Strong experience across qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
Experience with surveys and quantitative analysis.
Knowledge of statistical testing and ideally regression analysis.
Strong qualitative research experience, including interviews, focus groups or ethnographic studies.
Experience managing research projects from initial brief through to final insight.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Confidence working with senior and executive stakeholders.
The ability to produce clear, concise and executive-ready research outputs.
A proactive and adaptable approach to solving complex research problems.
