Generator Amsterdam is located in the up-and-coming eastern side of the city overlooking Oosterpark. This former zoological university building can accommodate 564 guests in 168 twin and quadruple rooms with incredible views on the surrounding and en-suite bathrooms. There is also one luxury apartment for six people with views of the park and a self-catered kitchen. It has flexible and spacious social areas, filled with creative design touches like glass-fronted elevators, a raised café and an outdoor terrace.

We’ve turned the former lecture hall into an impressive chill-out lounge and bar, while the old library is now a relaxation and private events room. The basement and café are now dining destinations and the original boiler room has become a secret late-night bar.

• To provide assistance to the Head Chef/Sous Chef to help ensure the smooth running of food service operations
• To create high quality food to meet guest expectations and to maintain company standards
• To anticipate guests’ needs and provide service to the level they require
• Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
• Managing and training any commis working with you
• Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
• Give input to the Head Chef on menu creativity with the courage to try something different and deliver innovative, locally inspired food & beverage offerings appropriate to the guest community
• Keep up to date with local food trends
• Carry out all preparatory tasks ensuring good quality produce at all times
• To constantly improve product knowledge to maximize revenue and service provided
  
  Know all statutory legislation and ensure H&S and Fire Safety compliance
• Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
