The Job

We are looking for motivated Commis Chefs who wants to be part of making the best bloody burgers in town! Are you someone who is eager to learn and looking for a new exciting job in a team-oriented, fast paced and fun environment? Then we want you!

THE BUTCHER 9 STREETS, created by entrepreneur Yossi Eliyahoo of The Entourage Group, is a high-end yet casual burger restaurant, located in Amsterdam. True to its metropolitan homes, The Butcher is a full-service concept offering all-day haute fast food. Not only burgers but also other great food will be served. The chef’s work exclusively with the highest quality Aberdeen Angus beef, yet every single aspect gets the attention it deserves from “the butchers”.

Our Commis Chef will assist with preparing the signature burgers according to standard and be responsible for making the orders ready. You will learn how to prepare the necessary ingredients for your team members in order to create the signature dishes of THE BUTCHER. All our haute fast food dishes will be made on the spot with only the freshest ingredients.

Besides kitchen tasks, you will also serve food to the guests at the kitchen counter which enables you to interact with guests directly! So do you think you will fit our bloody amazing The Butcher team?

Responsibilities

Assists with ensuring that all dishes are always freshly prepared and on time
Actively participate and assist the Chef de Partie / Head Chef and General Manager
Assists with ensuring that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity
To strive to study relevant subjects in preparation to future advancement

Requirements

Flexible and hardworking
Physically fit
The ability to speak English
You are located in Amsterdam (or nearby)
Willingness to work and learn

Who are you?

Part-time or Full-time available
Flexibility to work (evening) shifts
Previous experience in food services is a plus but we can teach you the rest
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
You have team spirit and multitasking skills
The ability to speak English
Living in or nearby Amsterdam
