Job Title: Visual Merchandising Internship
Reports to: City Visual Merchandiser, Amsterdam
JOB PURPOSE:
Step into the world of Dior, where creativity, elegance, and excellence define every detail. As a Visual Merchandising Intern in our Amsterdam boutique, you will support the execution of inspiring in‑store presentations that bring the House’ vision to life and elevate the client experience. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in luxury retail, contribute to the visual identity of an iconic Maison, and develop your skills in a dynamic and highly creative environment.
Jobresponsibilities
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the Visual Merchandising team to participate in seasonal launches and rotations in store
- Oversee prop inventory movement and integrity by ensuring all items are properly cataloged at Dior’s off‑side storage facilities
- Partner with the warehouse(s) to coordinate shipments
- Maintain accurate tracking and cataloging of all shipments arriving via Head Quarters, including the receipt of invoicing
- Ship and track Visual samples to Paris
- Log and organize the use of VM RTW samples, including the VM prop and sample closet
- Maintain the Visual Merchandising Calendar
- Help with window installations in both Amsterdam Boutiques
- Post current photos of recent installations, ensuring all new store opening photos are properly cataloged
- Work with cross‑functional teams, instore and corporate, to achieve various business‑related needs
- Partner closely with the VM team to ensure priority tasks are met but also be able to pivot should urgencies arise
REQUIREMENTS:
- You must be currently studying a Bachelors or Masters in a relevant study
- At least 6 months of prior experience in VM
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; any additional languages including Dutch & French are an excellent plus
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and follow‑through skills
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet and prioritize fast‑paced deadlines while being adaptable
- Maintain a positive attitude and build strong relationships with the team
- Creative mindset
Starting date:
June/July 2026
Full time 40h - You MUST be enrolled the entire length of the internship
This role does contain occasional overnights to support launches/event set‑ups
