Your main mission will be to bring out the maximum energy from your team to overcome every challenge. And all of this while delivering a customer experience that leaves a lasting impression! You will be the one guiding them to success together with the Assistant (Store) Manager, ensuring that every team member follows procedures and proudly represents our brand.
Responsibilities- Lead with passion: You’ll set the example, inspiring your team and creating an environment where motivation and teamwork are key.
- Achieve targets! Your main goal will be to drive store sales and profitability to the next level.
- Customer Service: You’ll make sure every customer feels at home, delivering a service that keeps them coming back for more. Their feedback and suggestions are key!
- Strategic analysis: You’ll analyse reports and data to make smart decisions that boost sales.
- Visual Merchandising: You’ll use impactful visual techniques to create a store that captures attention. We want people to say "WOW" when they walk in!
- Develop talent: You’ll act as a mentor to your team, helping them grow and reach their full potential. At JD, we believe in continuous development – Forever Forward.
- JD-style team: You’ll ensure the team reflects the essence and attitude of JD Sports (maximum motivation and energy!).
- Talent management: You’ll lead the recruitment process to bring the best talent into the JD family and ensure everyone understands and follows HR policies.
- Safety first: You’ll ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
WHO WILL SUPPORT YOU? You’ll have the support of all JD departments:
Retail, Development, Visual Merchandising, People, Customer Service, Profit Protection… Everyone working with and for you!
- Experience: At least 2 years as Floor/Shift Manager or in a similar role where you were responsible for managing teams in the retail sector.
- Time management: Efficiency is essential.
- Top communication skills: Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency: Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
