The individual also contributes to the ongoing development of the reporting framework by implementing updates driven by evolving regulatory requirements as well as changes in the organisation's business activities.
While the primary focus is on liquidity and payment-related reporting (e.g. liquidity ratios and statistical submissions), the position offers broader exposure through rotation across other reporting areas, including capital and financial reporting.
The role also contributes to transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, working cross-functionally to enhance reporting efficiency, strengthen controls, and increase automation across processes.
Responsibilities   Preparation, review, and analysis of liquidity and statistical reports, ensuring high levels of accuracy and adherence to deadlines
Assessment and interpretation of regulatory developments, translating requirements into functional specifications for system implementation, including testing and validation
Management of queries from internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory bodies, including ownership of follow-up actions
Contribution to continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimisation, control frameworks, data governance, and automation
Analysis of new products and business activities to determine appropriate regulatory reporting treatment
Identification, escalation, and resolution of issues impacting the integrity of reporting deliverables
Collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders (e.g. regulatory bodies, industry groups, vendors) to strengthen knowledge and align with best practices
Requirements   Degree-level education (or equivalent), preferably in a relevant discipline
Proven experience in regulatory reporting within the financial services sector
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Experience analysing financial data and producing meaningful insights
Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
Prior exposure to corporate or investment banking environments is advantageous
Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks is beneficial
Familiarity with data tools or programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, Power BI) is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation
Capability to present complex information in a clear and structured manner to diverse audiences
Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for resolving complex issues
