Location:
Amsterdam / Hybrid Industry: Health, Wellness & Consumer Products A fast-growing global ecommerce business is looking for an experienced Buyer / Vendor Manager
- Europe to play a key role in building and scaling its European merchandising function. This is a rare opportunity to join as one of the first merchandising hires in Europe, taking ownership of supplier relationships, category growth, assortment strategy and commercial performance across multiple European markets. You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution - identifying new brands, negotiating commercial terms, optimising product ranges and using data to drive revenue and margin growth.
Key Responsibilities Own category assortment strategy and product lifecycle management across European markets.
Identify and onboard new brands, suppliers and product opportunities.
Negotiate commercial agreements including pricing, rebates, marketing investment and supplier terms.
Build strong vendor relationships to improve margin, innovation and long-term growth.
Manage product launches, catalogue optimisation and regional expansion.
Analyse category performance, pricing, margins and customer trends to influence decisions.
Partner with Supply Chain, Marketing, Compliance and Global Merchandising teams.
Ensure products meet European regulatory and compliance requirements.
Experience Required 7+ years' experience within Buying, Category Management, Merchandising or Vendor Management.
Strong commercial negotiation experience with suppliers, manufacturers or brands.
Experience working within international ecommerce or retail environments.
Proven understanding of assortment strategy, pricing, margin and category growth.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
Experience managing multiple stakeholders across regional/global teams.
Preferred Background
Experience with in:
Ecommerce marketplaces Health & Wellness Supplements / Nutrition Beauty Consumer products International retail or DTC brands
