Job Overview
A logistics company is currently recruiting a Sales Representative to work in The Netherlands. In this role, you will be responsible for account management for existing customers, supporting the sales team targeting new customers, and leading the growth of the forwarding business in Europe. The ideal candidate should have experience in freight forwarding, strong analytical skills, and the ability to cultivate customer relationships.

Salary: €47k level, depending on experience

Location: Amsterdam or Rotterdam, The Netherlands
Sales Representative Main Responsibilities- Sales activities for existing customers (farming)
- Regular visits to existing customers and strengthening relationships
- Understanding customer needs and proposing solutions
- Analysis of shipping trends and customer KPIs, and planning of improvement measures
- Estimate creation, price negotiation, contract renewal
- Implementation of measures to improve customer satisfaction
- Support for proposal activities and project formation for newly acquired sales staff
- Technical support for new estimates and service design
- Operational coordination and project management support during initial implementation
- Market research/gathering information on target customer candidates
- Follow‑up after receiving a project (account migration support)
- Coordination work with European branches and Japan/Asia side bases
- Prompt information sharing and resolution support when problems occur
- Customer and project management using in‑house CRM
- Creation of sales/profit analysis report by customer
- Submission of monthly business activity report
- Formulation and progress management of customer‑specific action plans
- Work experience in the forwarding industry (air and sea freight) (sales or operations, approximately 3 years or more)
- Basic knowledge of international logistics (INCOTERMS, customs clearance, routing)
- Practical experience in customer negotiations
- Individuals who act autonomously and are good at cultivating existing customers
- Business level English proficiency
- Experience as a representative for Japanese companies or Japanese language skills
- Work experience in Europe is beneficial
- Profit management/cost management skills preferred
- Experience supporting new sales activities preferred
