The Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in both the high tech and manufacturing industries. In this role, you will be a key player in creating, identifying, and converting opportunities into business. You will engage with customers (prospective and existing), industry leaders, build trust, and position our company as a strategic partner.
Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the high-tech and manufacturing sectors.
Act as the face of the company in the field, strengthening relationships and ensuring
Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive revenue growth.
Manage the entire sales cycle, from first contact to contract sign-off.
Build trust and credibility by engaging in meaningful discussions with industry professionals.
Work closely with internal teams (legal, finance, operations) to align business opportunities with company goals.
Collaborate with external technology and business partners to develop joint go‑to‑market strategies, align solutions with customer needs, and drive successful business
Lead generation and opportunity creation at client/prospect organizations.
Lead RFI/RFP process and ensure alignment with internal TCS Organization.
Build sales plans to drive incremental sales pipeline and revenues.
Provide a consultative solutions sales process to prospects.
Develop an opportunity pipeline.
Answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers.
Develop quotes and proposals for clients.
Negotiate contracts and close agreements by taking end‑to‑end ownership.
Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
Interact with key advisors, analysts, technology & business partners for improved market visibility.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in business development and sales, with at least 3+ years of proven experience in business development and sales within the high-tech/semiconductor, or manufacturing sector; preferably in The Netherlands.
Strong understanding of the high-tech and manufacturing domains and key trends driving
Should have 10+ years of experience in responding to medium‑to‑large RFP/RFIs and closing the relevant deals
Must be hands‑on & comfortable doing the entire sales cycle on his/her own
Experience working in a relevant large SI partner organization like TCS
Fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken).
