The company has set aggressive growth targets for increasing its footprint in LNG terminals, by developing greenfield opportunities, participation in early-stage development and acquisition of (non) operating LNG terminals.
Senior Business Development Manager LNG
VTTI is looking for an energetic, self-starter to join our LNG Business Development team. A person with passion, enthusiasm, and a strategic thinker. With an understanding of the LNG infrastructure business development, having the ambition to grow and is ready to put in the efforts working with a small team of senior LNG BD colleagues, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong ability to incorporate different stakeholder needs and market developments into value-adding business opportunities.
The position sits within the LNG Growth team in Singapore and is part of a growing team of professionals that will identify, assess, develop, and manage project opportunities until handover to Project Development. The BD manager will be responsible for:
Developing the project funnel to achieve the targets in line with the LNG strategy.
Develop early-stage opportunities in high growth Asia Pacific market, build industry-wide network, lead or support the bidding process for new opportunities and investments in development projects/brownfield opportunities (from analyzing the market till handover to project management).
Ensure a strong collaboration between the business development team and other (Rotterdam) HQ based functions such as technical, legal, treasury, tax, HSE.
Work closely with other key VTTI growth engines, conventional and renewable energy growth teams, to jointly develop opportunities across various products.
Manage investment committee process to advance projects through gates funnel and work closely with VTTI Leadership team to prepare board material.
Represent VTTI in industry-specific conferences as speaker and contributor.
Experience and skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and academic background preferably in engineering, economics, or related fields.
Approximately 10 years’ experience in BD.
Sound experience in power generation/gas/LNG and energy transition.
Robust network.
Extensive experience in stakeholder management, business development and project management.
Solid understanding of financial modelling/valuation principles.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Culturally and politically sensitive and at the same time assertive and results-oriented.
