About the Role As a Senior Account Executive on our Partnerships Team, you will own the development and growth of accounts within the Shipping and Logistics segment. To drive success in this role, you will have a proven track record of selling SaaS or API-led technology to Shipping aggregators, Carriers, Marketplaces, 3PLs, and Freight Forwarders. You will be a key figure in optimizing sales strategy and deal execution- from deep-dive research and strategic lead generation to high-level stakeholder engagement.
Regular collaboration with Solution Engineering, BDRs, Marketing, and our Executive team is essential to ensure we crush our global sales targets.
Key Responsibilities Identify, qualify, and close complex partnership deals with Tier-1 Shipping & Logistics partners.
Execute a Discovery-First Sales Process:
Consult and educate prospective partners on Cover Genius’s embedded API solutions, ensuring a tailored approach that addresses specific operational pain points.
Drive Urgency & Strategic Value:
Position CG’s value proposition to create a sense of urgency, moving beyond "feature pitching" to strategic partnership.
Lead Cross-Functional Pitches:
Orchestrate internal teams (Product, Engineering, Legal) to deliver effective presentations with absolute clarity on product solutions and technical positioning.
Strategic Hunting:
Research and prospect into high-value accounts using a mix of cold outreach, networking, and industry relationships to build a sustainable, high-volume pipeline.
Market Representation:
Grow the Cover Genius brand within the Shipping & Logistics vertical through industry events and executive networking.
What You Will Bring 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, specifically selling SaaS, Fin Tech, or API-based software into the logistics space.
Proven Closer DNA: A track record of meeting and exceeding multimillion-dollar quotas and performance-driven KPIs.
Platform Literacy: A deep understanding of how technical integrations and APIs drive customer conversion and revenue within the digital commerce journey.
Strategic Stakeholder Management:
Experience leading complex negotiations involving C-level executives and cross-functional internal stakeholders.
Commercial Discipline:
The ability to manage fast-paced sales cycles while navigating the complexities of long-term, high-stakes strategic engagements without over-promising on technical capabilities.
