Interim AI Engineer

Ready to shape the future of AI within a leading international energy organization? We are looking for a freelance AI Engineer who combines hands‑on experience with LLMs, Agentic AI and RAG architectures with the ability to translate business challenges into practical AI solutions. You'll play a key role in building intelligent AI agents that improve customer and employee experiences while driving real business impact.

As AI Engineer, you will join a dedicated GenAI Accelerator team focused on accelerating the adoption of Generative AI across the organization. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams and AI specialists to design, develop and deploy intelligent AI solutions that create measurable value.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing AI agents using LLM technologies;
• Building prompt flows, conversation designs and RAG solutions;
• Translating business requirements into scalable AI applications;
• Creating and validating prototypes to demonstrate value quickly;
• Ensuring secure, reliable and responsible AI implementation.

Besides working on large‑scale AI initiatives, you may also temporarily embed within specific business teams to better understand their challenges and rapidly develop solutions tailored to their needs.

We are looking for a hands‑on AI professional who combines technical expertise with strong business understanding. You enjoy experimenting with new technologies while maintaining a pragmatic focus on delivering solutions that make a real difference.

To be successful in this role, you have:

• Proven experience building AI applications with LLMs;
• Strong knowledge of Prompt Engineering and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG);
• Experience developing AI agents using tools, skills and integrations;
• A track record of delivering AI solutions in production environments;
• Professional proficiency in English.

Experience with agent frameworks, orchestration platforms, MCP, enterprise AI environments and AI governance is considered a strong advantage.
