As a Test Automation Engineer (UFT/TOSCA), you will:
- Analyze functional and technical requirements to design effective automation solutions
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using UFT (Unified Functional Testing) and VBScript
- Build modular, reusable, and scalable automation frameworks for desktop applications
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Azure Dev Ops
- Execute test cases, identify defects, and track them through resolution using tools like Jira or ALM
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, SMEs, and QA teams for test planning and execution
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across applications, especially in complex enterprise environments
- Participate in code reviews, test strategy discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- 5+ years of experience in test automation, with a strong focus on UFT and desktop application testing
- Hands‑on experience in VBScript and automation framework development
- Solid experience working with test management tools such as ALM and Jira
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Azure Dev Ops)
- Good knowledge of SQL for test data validation and backend verification
- Exposure to BFSI domain, especially mortgage or banking applications (LOS, underwriting, servicing)
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or SOAP UI
- ISTQB or equivalent certification is an added advantage
- Design scalable and maintainable automation frameworks from scratch
- Debug complex automation scripts and identify root causes efficiently
- Work across cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines
- Adapt quickly to changing project requirements and technologies
- Think analytically and approach testing with a problem‑solving mindset
- Ensure high‑quality deliverables with strong attention to detail
- Continuously learn and implement best practices in automation and testing
