Overview
Avanade’s Legacy Modernization Service Hub prides itself on over 25 years of experience in providing fast and flexible legacy transformations for large customers. Based in our Coevorden office in The Netherlands, we are a team of highly skilled IT professionals dedicated to Legacy Transformation. We build the technology to automatically convert large enterprise IT systems from old technology to modern technology and bring these IT systems into the Cloud.
Hybrid working schedules are encouraged with collaborative days at office or remote.
- Design and develop high-performance, security-focused, robust software components and APIs.
- Integrate with other backend systems.
- Contribute actively to design, coding, integration, testing and deployment of high-quality deliverables.
- Conduct code reviews and suggest areas for refactoring and improvement.
- Identify improvement opportunities and secure buy‑in to drive implementation.
- .NET specialist (C#, .NET 8 Core).
- Experience with ASP.NET, Blazor and NuGet.
- Proficiency in CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), automated testing and Dev Ops practices.
- Strong background in relational database development (, SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, IMS, ADABAS).
- Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops, Sonar Qube and ADO.
- Programming with Type Script and Power Shell.
- Experience with Linux environments.
- Java development and mainframe languages (COBOL, Natural, XGEN) is a plus.
- Working with global and offshore teams on projects.
- Proficiency in .NET Framework, .NET Core and the unified .NET ecosystem.
- Front‑end skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and familiarity with Blazor, Angular or React.
- Server‑side development expertise.
- Version control mastery (Git).
- Experience creating and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Good communication, teamwork and time‑management skills.
- Strong analytical mindset and proactive improvement focus.
- Ability to influence and gain stakeholder buy‑in.
- Comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
