We are expanding our AI Studio with cross‑functional teams dedicated to building AI‑enabled products that strengthen and accelerate the services and software Arcadis delivers to clients. As a Staff Engineer in the AI Studio, you will act as the technical AI lead responsible for turning early‑stage AI opportunities into working, pilot‑ready AI solutions with potential to scale.

• Lead technical discovery and experimentation, translating loosely defined opportunities into concrete solution approaches
• Design and execute rapid experiments and pilots to validate feasibility and value
• Work closely with Product Manager, Solution Architect and UX Designer to ensure solutions are technically feasible, usable, and aligned with real workflows
• Collaborate with the Product Manager to shape problem definition, prioritization and solution direction
• Act as the technical AI lead within a small, cross-functional experimentation team
• Work directly with domain experts to understand workflows, constraints and opportunities
• Take ownership of moving pilots into structured implementations and working solutions
• Help define solution architecture, data requirements, model approach and integration patterns
• Build initial production‑ready solutions where required to accelerate delivery
• Introduce structure across early‑stage initiatives, including clear milestones and decision points
• Provide clear input on technical feasibility, trade‑offs and scalability
• Work with data engineering, platform and product teams to scale and integrate solutions
• Ensure solutions are reliable, explainable and aligned with enterprise and Responsible AI standards
• Support adoption by communicating clearly and bringing teams along

• 10 years of experience in machine learning, applied AI or technical data roles
• Strong Python skills and hands‑on experience building and deploying AI or ML solutions
• Experience delivering end‑to‑end solutions from data to model to integration
• Experience working on real‑world use cases and translating technical concepts into practical solutions
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to operate in ambiguous environments
• Experience working with business stakeholders and domain experts
• Ability to take ownership and drive delivery independently

• Experience with generative AI, including large language models and retrieval‑based solutions
• Experience in infrastructure, engineering or asset‑heavy domains
• Experience working in product teams or digital product environments
• Familiarity with modern data stack
