Radiology Technologist Job Responsibilities

• Uses appropriate scan parameters and positions patients accurately to produce scans as prescribed by a physician.
• Maintains good working rapport with medical staff and Radiologists to provide excellent patient care.
• Processes and critiques films to be read by radiologists.
• Provides technologist notes and impressions.
• Explains procedure to each patient prior to exam.
• Must have ability to obtain scans on various age groups and patients—from prenatal through geriatric. Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development over the life span and can identify each patient's age-specific needs.
• Must screen ALL personnel including self before entry into the extreme magnetic field environment.

Job Requirements

• Must have a valid Washington State license as a certified Radiological Technologist.
• Must maintain current BLS certification.

Candidate Pathways

• MR certified RT(MR)(ARRT) through ARRT
• Registered Technologist RT(R)(MR)(ARRT)
• Registered Technologist RT(R)(ARRT) and MR registry eligible to be completed within 1 year
