Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room, Part-Time, Night Shift

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – Part-Time Night Shift

Island Health invites experienced emergency department nurses to join our team for a 0.6 FTE, 24‑hour per week night shift. This role includes a $15,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible new hires.

Job Details

Location: Anacortes, WA
Schedule: 0.6 FTE / 24 hours per week (Night shift)
Salary Range: $36.90 – $69.95 per hour
Sign‑On Bonus: $15,000 (eligible new hires)

Differentials
  • Nights – +$4.75/hr
  • Evenings – +$3.25/hr
  • Weekends – +$4.00/hr
  • BSN premium – +$1.00/hr
  • Certification premium – +$1.00/hr

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver expert emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
  • Perform rapid assessment and triage to prioritize life‑threatening, urgent, and non‑urgent cases
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
  • Collaborate with physicians, EMS, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up care
  • Document assessments and interventions in compliance with standards of care
  • Complete 8 hours of stroke‑related education annually
What You’ll Bring
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current WA State RN License
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Experienced ED RNs: ENPC or PALS within 60 days; TNCC completed once in career
  • New‑to‑ED RNs: PALS within 60 days; ENPC within 90 days; TNCC within 6 months
  • Proven ability to stay composed and decisive in high‑acuity environments
