Amtec Staffing has partnered with a leading commercial general contractor in Anaheim, CA to find an experienced Lead Estimator to be part of their Estimating team here in Southern California.

Responsibilities:
Work alongside a team of estimators ranging from entry-level to senior-level and have a desire to mentor and coach lower-level estimators. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preconstruction - provide preconstruction services, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Bid Preparation – develop scopes of work, qualify subcontractor bids, complete bid forms and submit to owners.
- Bid Award – Transfer bid documentation to the construction team, review and suggest modifications to owner contracts, and issue subcontracts.
- Continuous Improvement – Develop procedures for each area of responsibility, continually review job responsibilities for areas to improve or streamline.
Work Characteristics:
The successful candidates must be flexible, well organized, and work well in a team environment. Positive attitude and willingness to learn are required. Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary. Candidate must also possess good time management and problem-solving skills.
Skills/
Experience:
- Work Experience - At least (3-10) years of General Contracting experience in Estimating for Commercial, Retail, or Medical Office commercial projects.
- Software – Advanced in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Microsoft Project. Proficient in Bluebeam, Bidmail and CMIC are ideal.
- Goal oriented – Ability to meet set goals
- Organizational ability – able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor projects/tasks.
