Job Overview
Acts as a resource for the Vice President of IT Operations to facilitate the design and implementation of networks, security and telecommunications systems. Designs, modifies, configures, tests and implements network, security and telecommunications applications and operating systems and provides technical guidance and support for networking and telecom staff.
Responsibilities- Design and develop networking, security and communication systems.
- Respond promptly to production problems for supported systems and applications.
- Conduct system analysis and configuration to keep our systems current with changing technologies.
- Analyze, design, coordinate and supervise deployment of network and telecommunications systems.
- Analyze system specifications and translate requirements to task specifications for IT staff.
- Maintain positive internal and external client interactions.
- Research and recommend network management and support tools to management.
- Provide assistance to testers and support personnel to determine system problems.
- Review changes in networking and telecommunications environment that affect performance.
- Provide recommendations to senior management regarding network topology, security settings or performance.
- Attend meetings, prepare brief correspondence and reports, verbally communicate technical information and make presentations to groups outside immediate work area.
- Interact with networking and server support staff.
- Bachelor's Degree and 7‑10 years of experience in network, security, telecom or IT systems development (or equivalent experience).
- Good working knowledge of EIGRP, F5, Palo Alto, BGP, OSPF, SD‑WAN, VPN, IDS, IPS, TACACS, RSA.
- Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing concepts including emerging SD‑Nets and CCaaS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
- Ability to multi‑task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.
- Experience teaching or instructing co‑workers.
- Expert knowledge of networking, security protocols, telecommunications systems and deployments.
- Knowledge of writing technical documents, configuration drawings and network management tools.
- Good knowledge of data security and encryption.
Preferred certifications
: CCNP, CCIE, MCSE or security certifications.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 – $101.70/hr.
