MEPT Engineering Director

Salary: $200,000 - $300,000 per year.

We are a leading provider of integrated Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Technology, and Fire Protection design services.

This position involves advanced architectural and engineering work requiring in‑depth technical expertise and specialized education in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Technology Engineering.

• Lead the MEPT team for a designated territory.
• Foster strong client relationships and drive business development and marketing efforts.
• Provide hands‑on leadership and mentorship to the MEPT staff.
• Oversee project coordination across all disciplines and departments.
• Uphold LEAF Engineers' high standards by producing original, innovative, and technically sound design solutions.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, internal leadership, project teams, contractors, and consultants.
• Maintain accurate project documentation throughout all stages.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on project progress, team development, and operational performance.
• Support company leadership with project management, client relations, and team development initiatives.
• Prepare detailed engineering proposals, budgets, and cost estimates for MEP and technology systems.

• Minimum of 12 years of experience with an AEC or engineering consulting firm.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer license.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Ability to conduct on‑site inspections.
• Proven ability to manage project budgets and timelines.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Project experience in the K‑12 education sector.
• Proficiency with MEP calculations and Title‑24 documentation.
• For California offices: experience with DSA submittals and T‑24 energy compliance for K‑12 projects.
