Structural Engineer Director

A permanent on-site opportunity for a Structural Engineer Director is available with our client in the construction industry. This leadership role involves overseeing engineering operations, designing and stamping structural plans, and collaborating with various teams to ensure project success. It requires extensive experience in structural engineering and management, primarily supporting complex structural repair and retrofit projects.

• Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for complex structural repair and retrofit projects.
• Design, analyze, and stamp structural plans in compliance with the California Building Code and local jurisdiction requirements.
• Oversee engineering calculations, plan development, and final technical approvals.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, drafters, and technical staff.
• Collaborate with production, sales, and executive teams to support project success.

• Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Active California PE License required, with candidates either possessing SE licensure, actively pursuing it, or able to obtain it shortly after joining.
• 10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in wood framing, concrete, steel, foundations, and retrofit systems.
• Extensive knowledge of California Building Code and local permitting requirements.
