Role
Description:
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in the General Office in Anaheim, CA. The candidate will work with individuals and families to understand their financial needs and help them develop strategies for insurance, investments, retirement planning, and other advisory services in alignment with New York Life's offerings. Day-to-day responsibilities typically include meeting with clients, conducting financial needs assessments, presenting suitable product options, and maintaining ongoing relationships through regular follow-up and service.
The role also involves learning and applying company tools, systems, and compliance guidelines, collaborating with team members, and participating in training and development programs. The candidate will be expected to build a professional presence in the community and contribute to a culture of integrity, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening, clear presentation abilities, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Candidates should possess customer service and client advisory skills, with a focus on understanding client needs, providing appropriate solutions, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Candidates should possess basic financial literacy and analytical skills, including the ability to learn product details and interpret financial information to support client recommendations.
- Candidates should possess organizational and time management skills, such as prioritizing tasks, managing client appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Candidates should possess adaptability and learning agility, with a willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Anaheim, CA twice a week (Monday and Wednesday) and maintain appropriate professional licensing as required for insurance and financial services (or willingness to obtain licenses with company support).
