Laundry Attendant @ Newport Beach Country Club

The Laundry Attendant (LA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to operate the commercial laundry facility, ensuring linens are cleaned, sorted, and stored in a timely, organized manner to meet the hotel’s laundry and linen needs.

• Deliver the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients according to Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Receive, sort, inspect, and record all soiled linens, including damaged or stained items.
• Operate washers and dryers per hotel standards and manufacturers’ guidelines.
• Monitor laundry supplies and equipment, ensuring they are sufficient and in working order.
• Fold, store clean linens, and report damages to supervisor.
• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas, following established standards and procedures (making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, etc.).
• Notify supervisor when service is completed so rooms may be sold or occupied; report any room that cannot be serviced according to procedures.
• Report necessary repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Respond to guest complaints and special requests to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
• Minimize waste of supplies and amenities throughout laundry and housekeeping areas.
• Handle lost and found items according to established procedures.
• Assist with deep‑cleaning projects as assigned.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other shifts and departmental management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Some previous commercial laundry experience preferred.
• Prior experience in the extended stay industry preferred.
• Fluent spoken, read, and written English preferred; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills are preferred.
• Capacity to frequently stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move about the facility.
• Ability to carry, lift, or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Regular use of commercial cleaning chemicals required.
• Work schedule may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
