Job Summary
Associate Engineer, Field Services – Join IT Solutions
, a nationally recognized Managed Service Provider with 25+ years of experience. The role supports multiple on‑site clients, handling escalated inquiries, and delivering excellent customer service while staying ahead of technology trends.
- Travel to client offices as required; non‑travel days spent at IT Solutions (on‑site or remote).
- Install and configure workstations, laptops, printers, routers, and other peripheral equipment.
- Answer technical service calls and create customer tickets.
- Triage and resolve customer issues, documenting root cause and resolution.
- Provide phone and on‑site support with an enthusiastic, customer‑focused attitude.
- Escalate tickets to appropriate groups and ensure timely updates to customers.
- Analyze logs, troubleshoot incidents, and perform routing incident analysis.
- Collaborate with advanced technician groups and vendors to resolve issues and provide status updates.
- Coordinate with client’s internal service and project coordinators.
- Comfortable with client‑facing activity.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Passion for problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced environment.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365, Active Directory basics.
- Hardware troubleshooting (printers, laptops, etc.).
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and climb step ladders.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent field experience.
- 3 years in a helpdesk role managing reported issues.
- 2+ years as a Network Administrator installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network, data center, and security technologies.
- Experience with Windows Desktop and Server (2012–current).
- Experience with Office 365 Exchange online and Microsoft Exchange 2013–current.
- Experience with firewalls or VPNs:
Cisco Any Connect, Meraki, Sonic Wall, Fortinet, etc. - Proficient with ticketing systems such as Connect Wise Manage.
- Knowledge of networking products (Ubiquiti, Ruckus, Aruba, VMWare, Dell, Adobe, etc.).
- Active Directory administration and Office 365 management.
- PC/Workstation migration and setup.
- Remote Management Tools support.
- CompTIA A+, Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS certifications (preferred).
- Proficiency with latest Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; majority of work is at client offices in the Anaheim, CA area (mileage reimbursed).
Base salary: $27–$31 USD hourly, plus performance-based bonus.
