Network Engineer

On-site in Anaheim, CA

Our client seeks a Network Engineer I to support and maintain a multi-site network infrastructure. The role includes monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity, supporting routing and switching technologies, and assisting with firewall, VPN, and network security administration. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $27.00 to $31.00/hr. w2

• Support daily LAN/WAN network operations across multiple sites.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
• Assist with routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and wireless infrastructure support.
• Monitor network health and respond to incidents.
• Support network upgrades, changes, and implementations.
• Maintain network documentation and diagrams.
• Participate in root cause analysis and issue resolution.
• Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to support business operations.

• 2+ years of network engineering or network support experience.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise networks.
• Knowledge of network security concepts, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred:
  Cisco routing and switching, Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba Clear Pass or other NAC solutions, CCNA, Network+, Aruba, or similar certifications.

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent hands-on networking experience considered in lieu of degree.
