Underwriting Assistant – Large Insurance Company – Base Salary to 29.00/hour – Anaheim, CA

• Our client, a leading national insurance company, has an immediate opening for an Underwriting Assistant (internally titled Underwriting Operations Assistant) to work on a hybrid basis in their Anaheim office. • As a member of the underwriting team, the Underwriting Assistant supports underwriting monitoring, guideline updates, external data services, and reinsurance operations. The position offers well‑rounded exposure to essential underwriting functions in a collaborative environment and is well suited for candidates with strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Manage treaty reinsurance operations (data reporting, commission settlements, etc.)
• Prepare reinsurance renewal materials (risk profiles, renewal book, etc.)
• Evaluate external services for underwriting (e.g., natural catastrophe modeling firms, satellite imagery providers)
• Manage contracts and operations with external service providers.
• Utilize external data for loss ratio analysis.

• 1+ years of experience in underwriting.
• BS degree in insurance, risk management, or in a related field.
• Basic understanding of the insurance industry.
• Ability to present complex information in an understandable manner.

• Base salary to 29.00/hour
• Medical (PPO), dental (PPO), vision (PPO), and life insurance covered 100% by the company.

• Monday – Friday / 8:30am – 5:30pm
• Hybrid schedule after 1 year.
