Associate Attorney

A law firm based in Torrance, CA is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team in Orange County. This is a great opportunity to work on a diverse caseload that includes general liability, business litigation, attorney and accountant malpractice defense, and some probate matters. • Handle general liability, business litigation, malpractice defense, and probate cases
• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation
• Draft and review pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Collaborate with partners and support staff to ensure high-quality legal work

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active California Bar license, in good standing
• 3–5 years of experience in general liability, insurance defense, or business litigation (probate experience a plus)
• Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Sense of humor appreciated — the managing partner is known for his creative, lighthearted approach

• Competitive compensation (commensurate with experience)
• Performance bonuses — $5K per 75 billable hours over 1700
