Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials and recording quality results; analyzes information, reports research results, documents accordingly, promotes process improvement, manages safety, and oversees manufacturing methods and procedures.

• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; reject unacceptable materials.
• Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarize re‑work and waste; input data into quality database.
• Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• Work with Engineering and other departments to evaluate products and report results.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years inspection experience; experience with electrical harnesses and/or connectors preferred; working knowledge of video measuring systems desirable.
• Familiar with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001.
• Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and other aerospace workmanship and quality standards.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and use of vision systems and/or coordinate measuring equipment.
• Proficient with basic precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial/digital indicators, height gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, etc.
• Experience performing first article inspection in accordance with AS9102 or equivalent.
• Comfortable working with binocular microscopes for extended periods.
• Must pass Visual Acuity requirements (color, depth perception and field of vision).
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must follow strong safety standards.
• Must possess attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to work independently, focus, organize work, and complete assignments on time.
• Sitting and standing for long periods.

This position requires use of information which is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
