CNC Knife Operator – Sonac (by Darling Ingredients)

The CNC Knife operator (Gerber Machine) personnel will read and understand detailed instructions, interpret drawings, and set up and operate the machine to achieve optimal yield.

• Operates the CNC Gerber machine following detailed instructions.
• Loads materials and starts the automated cutting/plotting process.
• Prepares files for cutting and calibrates the machine.
• Addresses minor technical issues and performs routine cleaning and troubleshooting.
• Monitors process conditions to improve yield.
• Uses mechanical measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
• Prioritizes multiple assignments and assists in facility support when needed.
• Completes assignments in a timely manner and inputs daily production data into Industrios.
• Provides training to new employees and suggests process improvements.
• Maintains good housekeeping and safety practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of related manufacturing experience.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work in a team.
• Knowledge of production processes and commitment to quality.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with ISO or aerospace standards preferred but not required.

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal English instructions.

• Capable of working under pressure, with a sense of responsibility and initiative.
• Respects standards and regulations.

Monday to Thursday, 5:00 am – 3:30 pm. Off Fridays. Salary: $21.00–$23.00 per hour.
