The Manufacturing Engineer designs, develops, improves, and validates the manufacturing processes. Also provides support and training for manufacturing related activities to Production and other Team Members.
Responsibilities- Performs design, development, improvement of manufacturing processes including but not limited to:
- Perform production line capacity, efficiency and work analysis.
- Design and improve manufacturing process flows.
- Develop assembly/manufacturing work instructions and procedures.
- Determines requirements for manufacturing and develops drawings for jigs and fixtures to aid in manufacturing electronic equipment.
- Identifies and implements improvements to manufacturing process, product cost, cycle time and quality based on evaluation of process and product performance data.
- Prepares Engineering reports along with the launch of new products from NPI into production.
- Conducts training on manufacturing methods, standards and activities.
- Support all manufacturing activities, domestic as well as overseas.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or bachelor’s degree in related discipline (electronics/mechanical/programming) with relevant experience.
- 0-3 years’ experience working in a fast-paced Engineering environment. Strong electrical and programming knowledge. New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Experience using Microsoft tools including image editing software programs.
- Develop professional Engineering reports including introductions, conclusions, recommendations and data research.
- Ability to analyze and resolve technical problems from a simple to complex issue quickly and independently.
- Knowledge of manufacturing theory with ability to apply to practical applications.
- Can perform minor assembly activities on assembly or test systems.
- Software Experience or knowledge of C/C++, Python, LabVIEW, Microcontroller such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi and PLC (Programmable Logic controllers).
- Basic knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles.
- Ability to use AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or Solidworks desirable.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills that clearly lay out information and ideas. Ability to communicate in such a way to influence peers and management and communicate well cross-functionally in a professional manner.
$70,000-$80,000. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
